Our Story

Pam Robinson opened Magic Kingdom, Inc. in Oak Grove in 1987. Her goal was to provide care and education to children, filling a need in the community. Over the years, there have been other programs opened under Magic Kingdom’s name in neighboring towns, but this one has remained open and continues to provide exceptional early childhood education and care for young children.

In May 2022, Director Jamie Ballowe Ratliff, and her husband, Keith, purchased Magic Kingdom from the Robinson family. They are excited to continue the legacy Pam has left and push on ahead with many new and exciting adventures!

We believe play is a crucial aspect of early learning.

Play is an innately natural way for children to learn skills such as problem-solving and sharing. Not only that, but play builds confidence, social emotional skills, increases imagination and is beneficial for mental health.

What sets us apart is our passion for the role we play in our students’ lives, creating long-lasting and meaningful relationships with families that extend beyond the program.

— Jamie Ballowe Ratliff, Director

Curriculum is thoughtfully planned in ways that are age and developmentally appropriate.

Our goal is to provide our students a safe place to learn, explore, and grow. This means we provide ways for children to meet milestones, be challenged to master skills and achieve new ones, and have opportunities to learn about the world, both near and far away.
